Acharya Shri
Mahapragyaji
In the Sad Demise of
Acharya Shri Mahapragyaji, the world has
lost the most revered saint. His
charismatic personality and forward
looking approach played great role in
uniting masses and guiding them. He was
all the time incontestable authority due
to the ever present humility in his
approach, knowledge of subjects and love
of the devotees. While he had great regard
for the traditionally set religious
parameters, rituals and customs, he
recognized the requirements of change and
whole heartedly supported it. Historic
“Ahimsa Yatra” made him a National Hero.
His deep sense of understanding of
national affairs involved him in Gujarat,
Kashmir and Punjab issues. Without drawing
unnecessary media attention, he worked
hard for their solutions. He was
frequently consulted by the government
machinery on social and political issues.
We had a chance to interview him for
www.jainsamaj.org ( Ahimsa Times) and
JAINA’S Bi - Annual conference in USA. It
was a great opportunity to talk to this
legendry personality in person at Jaipur.
His open hearted approach was really
amazing. He really believed in universal
freedom, brotherhood, peace and general
wellbeing of everyone. All through his
life he followed a rigorous routine
without showing signs of any strain. We on
behalf of “ Ahimsa Foundation” are deeply
saddened to learn of the death of Acharya
Shri Mahapragyaji. We offer heartfelt
condolences. We recall with gratitude
Acharya Shri Mahapragyaji’s long years of
devoted service to the Jain Samaj as the
10th Acharya of Terapanth and especially
his sustained efforts in the promotion of
justice and peace in India.
If We Could Bring You
Back Again
If we could bring you
back again, For one more hour or day,
We’d express all our unspoken love; We’d
have countless things to say.
If we could bring you
back again, We’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives, Meant
more than we ever knew.
If we could bring you
back again, To tell you what we should,
You’d know how much we miss you now, And
if we could, we would. |
