The Jain Center of Southern California is located in Buena Park, CA. It was founded in 1982 with less than 100 members and has now little over 1000 life members. The center is composed of two parts, a Community Center and the Temple (Jin Mandir). The community center is composed by a big auditorium, various spaces where classes are held, a dinning hall (and kitchen) and a library, which contains the largest collection of Jain literature outside of India. The Jain Center serves, not only as a place of worship but as a place of reunion for the community. Different classes are held at the center such as Jain school for kids, young adults, adults and “mommy and me” classes for toddlers. Some of this classes are offered in Gujrati, but many of them are also offered in English. Yoga and dance classes are also offered at the center. And various spectacles are prepared for the Holidays.
