When Did Bhagwan Rishabhdev Attain Nirvana?

 

Millions of years ago, in the beginning of Satyug, Rishabh was born at Ayodhya in India. His father's name was king Maharaja Nabhirai, and his mother was called Maharni Marudevi. Rishabhdev was married with two princesses named Yashaswati and Sunanda. Rishabh had hundred sons including Bharat from Yashaswati and Bahubali from Sunada. He also had Bhrami and Sundari, two daughters. These two daughters were fully trained in fine arts and knowledge.

Renouncing all the luxuries and worldly pleasures Rishabhdev initiated in Jainaishwari Deeksha at Pryag and after long and continuous penance of one thousand years, he attained Kewal Gytan at Purimtalpur forests. From the "Samavsaran" created by the gods (Kuber) in the sky Tirthankar Rishabhadev preached innumerable living beings. At the fag end of 8.4 millions years of life he went into meditation at Kailash Parvat. After fourteen days of deep meditation, annihilating all the eight karma he attained Nirvana on Maghkrishna Chaturdashi. Now, he is established on a spiritual seat of Siddha Bhagwan and his followers get their wishes fulfilled through his worship.
