Jain Tirth - Bh. Adishvar

 

 

Main Idol : Bhagawan Adishvar in the Padmasana posture.

Location : This tirth of Moti Khakhar is at a distance of 9 kilometers from the tirth of Bhujpur. This is a tirth of the small group of five temples Kutch-Bhuj. Bus service and private vehicles are available. Board and lodging provisions are there. There is also an upashray.

History : This is a 450 years old Bhagawan Adishvar's temple. A long stone inscription of the temple gives details of the installation ceremony of this temple. It shows that it was built on the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Fagan in the years 1669 of the Vikram era.  It provides useful information to the scholars of the history of stone inscriptions and archaeologists. The ancient idol of Bhagawan Pundarik Swami is extremely beautiful. The library is also ancient.
