In times of uncertainty and potential conflict, responsible journalism can help guide the world toward reason, dialogue, and peace. We therefore humbly request all respected media organizations across the globe to use the strength of their platforms, editorials, columns, and public discourse to make a strong and compassionate appeal to the President of the United States of America and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Your publications can play a historic role in encouraging both leaders to exercise the highest degree of restraint and wisdom during this sensitive period.

Military confrontation between powerful nations brings immeasurable human suffering.
