Jain Tirth - Bh. Mahavir

This famous and ancient temple of Bhagwan Mahaveer is located at Jalore town on a hill named Swarangiri. It is strongly believed that the temple was built by the ancestors of Vikramaditya during the periods of Vikrama Samvata 126 to 136. Many other temples, made earlier by Jain Kings have been demolished in the course of time. There are twelve others than than temples in the town, most impressive of which the one called Nandeeshwar Dweep.
