This temple of Shri Parshwanatha Bhagwan is built at Makshi Village, 40 Kilometers from Ujjain on the Agra-Mumbai Road. The idol in this temple is said to be extremely ancient, belonging to 7th century B. C. It is mentioned in the scriptures that a large population of Jains lived at this place in 2nd century B. C. The temple was built by Parmar rulers in 10th century A. D. Many miracles are said to have happened at this place due to the magnificent idol in the temple. The temple is of Digambar Sect.
