Gandhi Nagar Jain Tirth - Bh. Parshwanathe

In 1984 Shri Gandhinagar Jain Swetambar Murtipujak Sect has built this temple of Jain tirthankara "Parshwanath" at Gandhinagar. The temple has an area of 8000 Sq. Feet. This temple called "Parshwa Prasad", because it is dedicated to Jain lord "Parshwanath". It is constructed in Tiwari sand stone and Porbandar lime stone. The temple has main four parts called Garbha - Griha ( Sanctum ), Koli - Mandap ( Vestibule ), Gudha - Mandap ( Closed Hall ), and Nrutya - Mandap ( subsidiary Hall ). The Shikhar above the Garbha Griha of the temple is typical "Nagara" genesis. The superstructure above Gudha Mandap, technically known as "Samran", consists of stepped out layers. The whole temple is surrounded by the external walls, superimposing the figures of God, Goddesses, Dancing figures, Sculptures in standing or seating poses.
