Pansar - Jain Tirth - Bh. Mahavir

 

 

Pansar, Taluka : Kalol, Mehsana, Gujarat-382740

Main Idol : Nearly 91 cms high, white-colored idol of Bhagawan Mahavir Swami in the Padmasana posture.

Location : This temple of Shri Mahaveer Bhagwan is located at Pansar Village close to Pansar Railway Station on the Allahabad-Mehsana Rail Route. Bus service and vehicles are available here. There are good board and lodging provisions.

History : The artistic works of this place speak highly of its antiquity. There is a serene, beautiful, and miraculous idol of Bhagawan Mahavir Swami. It appeared from the ground in 1966. Later on, a splendid temple was built and the idol was formally installed in it on the 6th day of the bright half of the month of Vaishakh in the year 1974 of the Vikram era.

Many miracles that happened here, raised significance of this place. The idol of this temple was found from the open ground. Other five ancient idols were also found from the ground in the year 1991 of the Vikram era. Their artistry is beautiful.
